Hey people! Sorry for the delay with my updates. Been caught up with some stuff . Anyway, just to summarize what happened last week, let me bring you through a series of flashbacks like I always do…

As always, we have the trick for the day before every lecture. Picked up quite abit of skill and knowledge that is essential for 3d modeling. For intech, the lecture was on metal construction and detailing. We had a video screened in how steel is made and how it all came about. The uses and all were rather clearly shown by National Geographic.

We had another interesting screening of the SCRAPHOUSE. It was an interesting project to watch and to learn from what the video shows. Though it was rather sad to see the house being torn apart after the exhibition, it is still good to know that the people involved in the project did not give up when the difficulties hit them directly on the face.

On the other hand, I’m thinking, if they were to keep the house standing for as long as possible, would it be an icon? Or if they left it there, could they experiment to see if scraphouse was able to be the next residential architecture evolution since GREEN is so in now and everyone’s all environmental friendly..

Also, on Thursday, we had a contemporary artist to give a talk. He definitely inspired me to reconsider what I have been trying to achieve in my design and my personal approach to how things work.

Some random thoughts..
1) how to make everyone see your design as your intended purpose?
2) how to define a concept to a stage that is of one’s own uniqueness?
3) art creates a world what could defy gravity. Could design too?
4) what makes one a designer who is seen to all as an artist?
5) *most random* does the lecturers smoke in class while teaching???

After the talk, it was exploration of the art gallery. Took photos of some interesting works that were done by the students. They are as below:

Friday’s fieldtrip was cancelled. *yeahness*
played basketball and badminton. Finally some exercise… as for sat and Sunday, it rained… but I love the cold cold temperature..
